This workshop is for CDC and NAC staff and other community leaders who provide guidance to residents about gaining legal access to vacant and abandoned publicly- and privately-owned tax delinquent land. This is a changing landscape in Philadelphia and we want to keep you up-to-date so that you can effectively share this information with your constituents. Topics include: opportunities for individuals (for gardens, farms, and open space projects), nonprofits and commercial enterprises; Land Bank updates, mechanisms for gaining legal access to privately-owned tax delinquent properties; addressing tax and municipal liens, zoning compliance, soil safety, water access and stormwater billing.
Leading this session will be Amy Laura Cahn and Kirtrina Baxter of the Public Interest Law Center together with PACDC’s Director of Policy, Beth McConnell.
