Out of care and concern for people’s health during the spread of the coronavirus, LISC has decided to postpone the small business training series until further notice. We appreciate your flexibility and will share updates as they become available.
Please direct questions to Rachael Viscidy: [email protected] or (215) 923-1748.
LISC is offering a four-part workshop series designed to develop corridor managers’ knowledge and skills for supporting small businesses. Co-facilitated by experienced corridor managers, the sessions will focus on problem solving through peer exchange, and participants will gain access to technical assistance resources from Temple Small Business Development Center. By the end of the series, participants will be able to:
- Apply a proactive approach to managing their corridors by using goal setting and project management skills
- More effectively support business owners by using relationship building skills and resource knowledge
- Advance their professional development by honing soft/complex skills (e.g., communication and cultural competency) and practicing self-care
During each session, participants will work on creating two-year corridor strategies and one-year work plans that address their real-life, day-to-day issues.
The training is free and open to corridor managers of all experience levels. Participants are asked to commit to attending all four sessions and complete assignments between sessions. Assignments will advance their daily corridor work.
Training Dates:
- Friday, March 20th – 9:00am-12:00pm
- Wednesday, April 22nd – 2:00pm-5:00pm
- Wednesday, May 6th – 9:00am-12:00pm
- Wednesday, June 3rd – 9:00am-12:00pm
